Donation Opportunities:

Rea of Hope, Inc. is committed in assisting with structuring your gifts to meet your personal objectives and ensure the maximum tax credit available.  We welcome and encourage donations of all kinds: memorial donations, planned giving, life insurance, bequests, property, cash and securities.

Kroger Community Rewards
A new way to support REA OF HOPE is by enrolling your Kroger card at https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards. Simply select REA OF HOPE (90732) as your chosen charity! It's simple and FREE! Every time you use your Kroger plus card a percentage of your total is donated back to Rea of Hope! Thanks for all your support!

Gifts of Cash
Gifts of cash can be designated for a specific program or project, or they can be unrestricted.  Donations without restrictions allow us to respond quickly to new initiatives and needs.  Cash donations can be made in any amount by check, funds transfer, or online through Paypal.  (click the link below)

Planned Giving
Planned giving gifts are commonly gifts from one's assets that occur on death.  They are also flexible arrangements and can be designated to provide lifelong income to donors, while generating gift receipts and significant income tax benefits now.  Planned giving offers you flexibility and tax advantage.

Charitable life Insurance
A life insurance policy naming Rea of Hope, Inc. as the owner and beneficiary allows you to make a significant future gift to our organization for only pennies on the dollar and provides tax benefits.

Bequests
Frequently referred to as (deferred gifts) or (estate gifts), bequests are specified in a donor's will.
A bequest can be a specified amount or a residual gift as a percentage of the estate.

Property
Often called (gifts-in-kind), your gifts can take many forms: such as equipment, art, books, real estate, services, stocks and bonds.

Memorial Gift
The most common unsolicited gift we receive is the memorial gift.  When a loved one passes away, people may send a gift in memory of that person.
Often, it is done in lieu of flowers, as requested by the family in the newspaper obituary.

Securities
Gifts of stocks, appreciated assets and publicly-traded stocks and bonds can be designated to Rea of Hope, Inc.  A donation of stocks may reduce your capital gains taxes. Advantages and disadvantages of this option should be discussed with your financial advisor.

WV Tax Credits - Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP)
Rea of Hope was fortunate enough to receive WV Tax Credits through the Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP), WV Development Office, again this year. This is a fantastic program to encourage charitable giving and a way to get back up to 50% of your donation on your state; personal or business taxes. A minimum donation to receive CREDIT is $500.

Please contact Marie Beaver 304- 344-5363 for more information.

The original Rea of Hope house is located on Lee Street in Charleston. The house is staffed 24 hours a day to insure a supportive and safe environment. Our residents are required to work, attend school, or volunteer at an approved location.

Rea of Hope II is just around the corner fron the original house. Together, both houses accomodate 14 beds. A resident of Rea of Hope will focus on their recovery in a 12 step-based fellowship program while establishing themselves as responsible members of our community..

As graduates, the women already have a support system in place, employment and connection to the community. We will work with the women to get their credit, fines and other financial and legal problems solved.

The goals of the Rea of Hope New Life Apartments are to provide an affordable beginning for these women; avoiding the stumbling blocks to a successful recovery.
